With a focus on sustainability and environmental initiatives. We have been actively engaging with the local community, teseban and local business to promote these initiatives. Our main focus is protecting the local ecosystem and environmental resources upon which the local community depends. We organize monthly clean up events to protect the local environment and raise awareness of environmental issues. We conducted specific clean up projects of highly polluted areas and renovation projects to improve local residents standard of living and engage them in sustainable development initiatives. We also focus on educating the local community and visitors through events, signage, printed collaterals, face to face visits and social media.

We work with the local community to conduct a range of renovation projects such as cleaning walls and sidewalks with pressure washers, renovating houses, walls and sidewalks. We have also planted trees and foliage to improve the natural environment. We also installed recycling bins and anti-pollution signage to help reduce pollution and educate the community. We have also conducted local area renovation projects in co-operation with the local teseban; including renovation of the local park and replacement of 16 benches.

In order to support local businesses we installed an art instillation on the beach and printed billboard on Sukhumvit road as well as a and a range of online marketing initiatives. We have also supported government initiatives such as sponsoring community football teams and being the main sponsor for the tesebans recent Songkran event.

We are currently working on a range of new initiatives and a relooking for local partners to support these projects.

Upcoming Projects

  • Bang Saray community magazine and guide book.
  • Instillation of tourist information maps to help promote local businesses.
  • Renovation of local landmarks such as the whale shark statue located on beach road.
  • Specific renovation projects.
  • Tree planting projects.
  • Art instillations.
  • School education projects.
  • Waste disposal solutions.

We want to build a sustainable community where people support each other to achieve shared goals. Sustainability is a complex goal and requires a multifaceted approach that reaches across all sectors of the community. It’s an ongoing process of prioritizing effective, feasible strategies that can be implemented and maintained. We recognize that not everyone shares the same aims but we are striving to do the best we can to benefit the entire community. Ultimately, what is required is a broad perspective, a holistic view of the community as interwoven and interrelated. We want to expand our network of stakeholders and develop partnerships across the community which are vital to developing solutions to match the complexity of the issues facing the local community. Leadership and community champions drive sustainability efforts. We need these leaders to help us move the BDP forward and keep Bang Saray Beautiful.
